TaxiPay CoTaxi+: Vehicle Co-Ownership Module User Journey

Overview

TaxiPay was looking for a mobile developer to design the user interface of CoTaxi+, a new module inside their transportation application. The idea: several people find each other, pool their money and become co-owners of a vehicle together. Nothing existed yet — only the concept. I delivered a clickable prototype that describes the complete user journey end to end, from the driver's home screen and wallet balance, through the CoTaxi+ module overview, to a single vehicle listing with financing progress, seller information, member list and the participation action.

The challenge

• The co-ownership concept was new to users — the interface had to make shared vehicle financing instantly understandable on a small screen.
• Each listing carries a lot of numbers at once: total price, amount collected, amount remaining, percentage financed, days left and seats available.
• TaxiPay does not collect funds, so the UI had to make the direct seller payment flow explicit and reassuring rather than hidden in fine print.
• The module had to feel native inside the existing TaxiPay app — same dark theme, same bottom navigation, same wallet-first mental model.
• The whole journey had to be validated before any engineering budget was committed.

What I built

• A clickable prototype covering the full CoTaxi+ user journey, navigable screen by screen like a real app.
• Home screen with driver identity, rating, TaxiPay wallet balance and a dedicated CoTaxi+ entry card.
• Module overview screen explaining co-ownership with up to 12 people, plus live stats: active listings, co-owners and overall financing progress.
• Vehicle listing cards with price, financing progress bar, collected versus remaining amounts, seats available, days left and stacked member avatars.
• Vehicle detail screen with tabbed sections — overview, members, certificate and revenue — and a full seller information panel.
• An explicit trust notice clarifying that TaxiPay does not hold funds and payments go directly to the seller by transfer or bank deposit.
• A consistent dark UI kit with the TaxiPay amber accent, reusable cards, badges and a four-tab bottom navigation including the CoTaxi+ action button.

Results

• The client could walk through the entire CoTaxi+ experience before writing a single line of production code.
• The co-ownership journey — discover, evaluate, join — was validated as a concrete flow instead of a written concept.
• Every screen state, label and number was specified in French, ready to hand to a development team.
• The prototype doubles as a demo asset for presenting the module to drivers, sellers and stakeholders.
